KC's Offense dominates BAL's D, 37-18

Trent Green threw for almost 400 yards against Baltimore's world class defense. The Ravens had QB's Trent Dilfer and Tony Banks share time, but neither could really muster up any offense against KC's weak D. Eddie Kennison had 7 grabs for just under 90 yards for the Chiefs. Baltimore did keep Dante Hall in check, but only had 1 sack on the day. All-Pro Priest Holmes had a workmanlike day with 78 yards on 25 attempts.

Titans hold off Steelers 13-6

This game was a battle of the legs until Steve McNair hit Frank Wycheck for 6 early in the 4th quarter to make the score 13-3. The Steelers added a late FG to bring the score to w/in 7, but could not find a way to crack the Titans end zone. Both teams offensive stats were virtually even. PIT even had the edge in turnovers, but could not crack the endzone.

Bucs edge pats 20-17 w/late FG by Gramatica

Both teams played it pretty close to the vest and with less than 3 minutes to go in regulation the score was knotted at 17 apiece. With 2:58 left to go Josh Miller shanked a punt (10 yds) for NE and gave TB great field position (their own 34). Brad Johnson drove his troops down to the Pats 17 and Martin Gramatica kicked a 34 yard FG with 0:47 left to put them up by 3. The big play of the drive was a 22 yard scamper by Michael Pittman off a dump pass. Tom Brady got the ball back with 0:36 left to play, but ran out of time as the gun sounded right after Deion Branch was tackled on Tampa's 29. Adam Vinatieri never got a chance to tie it.

Big 4th Quarter spurs Rams on to a 27-10 victory of NY

The Giants carried a 3-0 lead into the locker room at half time, which is quite bizarre for these teams. Mop Barra had a pep talk at halftime with Kurt Warner and the Rams outscored the Giants 27-7 in the second half. Warner turned the ball over to the G-men with a big interception deep in his own zone. On their first play from scrimmage the G-men handed to Barber who had a huge run in the red zone, but he coughed it up and the Rams recovered. That was the turning point. Instead of a 10-7 Giant lead the Rams still remained in control. With the score 10-3 the Kerry Collins threw a pick 6 to Dre Bly and that pretty much put New York behind the proverbial 8-ball for good. Marshall Faulk scored on a draw play late in the game while the Rams were trying to run out the clock to boost the differential from 10 to 17.
