Drew Brees (20-27-277-2TD-1INT) proved to everyone in the CFL that if you take away LT, he will beat you with his right arm. Up 6-3 in the 2nd quarter Brees hit Eric Parker (4-52-2TD) for a 6 yard toss to make it 13-3, which is how it stood at the half. A Kaeding 52 yarder and another TD pass to Eric Parker made it 23-3 going into the 4th. The Vikes came alive when Dante Culpepper hit Jim Kleinsasser for 13 yard to make it 23-10. San Diego returned to their bread and butter running game to run the clock out. LT scored from 1 out to culminate an 11 play / 7 minute drive to put the game away. SD stays in the thick of the tight AFC race, while Minnesota still hasn't cracked the win column.
