Packers outlast Eagles 20-16

The weather was a bit nippy for this Sunday night matchup between the Pack and Philly. The weather may have been cold, but Green Bay's offense came out hot scoring on their first two possessions. Ahman Green went in untouched from the 8 for the first score and Brett Favre hit Bubba Franks for a 5 yard score for the second one. With the score 14-0 GB, the Eagles needed to get their act in gear. D-Mac drove them down to the Packer 12 and David Akers nailed a 29 yarder to get on the board. The game settled into a back and forth defensive struggle until Donovan McNabb hit Terrell Owens, who was double covered, for a 29 yard TD pass to make it 17-16 Pack. Favre responded with a long 13 play drive that took 7:31 off the clock and culminated in Ryan Longwell's second FG of the day. Neither team could score again and Green Bay walked off the field with a 20-16 victory.

The Pack was content to put the game on Ahman Green's shoulders (23-186-TD-6.9ypc) instead of Favre's arm. Brett had a decent day going 17-28-244-TD and NO INT's. The only dark spot on Favre's day was the fact that he was sacked 5 times.
