The normally anemic Titan offense hung 33 on the Chiefs to win this shootout 33-30. After
Eddie George scored on a 2 yard run, 1 minute into the 4th, the Titans were up by 16 and looked to blow the doors off KC. One thing you can bank on is that the Chiefs can score...and they can score quick. Trent Green was able to hit Eddie Kennison for a 13 yd TD in 3 plays, which took just over a minute. 5 minutes later he handed off to
Priest Holmes for a 4 yard gallop to paydirt to cut the score to 33-30 with almost 4 minutes to play. Game on !
Tennessee started off with good field position (their 35) and knew they couldn't play

conservative. With that said they faced a big 3rd and 1 on their 44. KC geared up for the run and keyed Eddie George. Tennessee went play action and hit Frank Wychek for 18 yards. KC was forced to burn their second TO, to stop the clock just before the 2 min warning. The Titans faced a 3rd and 4 on KC's 32 and again converted with a short pass, this time to Derrick Mason for 6 yards and a first. With a new set of downs Bill Keller and his Titans were able to run out the clock and get out of Arrowhead with a nail biting win.
Eddie George had a MONSTER day going 31-214-3TD (6.9 ypc). Tony Gonzalez caught 6 balls for 84 yards for the Chiefs. Green threw 3 picks before he found his "mojo" late in the 4th quarter.
