The '9ers scored first, and they scored last. In between the lights on the scoreboard lit up like a Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center. T.O. (Terrell Owens) had 3 TD grabs. Jeff Garcia threw for 4 TD's himself. Jerry Rice only had 2 grabs against his former team and was virtually a non factor. Garrison Hearst was 4 yards short of 100, but he was overly impressive with his 7.8 ypc average. Rich Gannon was forced to play comeback most of the day and had 50 pass attempts. He was sacked 3 times and picked off once.

'9ers win Bay Area Shootout 35-26
