Adam's Leg

Terry Priest and his Pats made the trip to the swamps of Jersey to face the G-men. This contest was a close to the vest defensive struggle. With 4:34 left in the game the Giants drove down to NE's 14 and settled for a Brad Daluiso FG and a 2 point lead. Coach Welss elected to play it conservatively and do his best Tom Coughlin imitation. Like Coughlin, Weiss' choice blew up in his face as Tom Brady drove his team 35 yards in 9 plays and like so many times before Adam Vinatieri kicked the game winner to bury the G-men by 1. Brady had a workmanlike 15-26-146-td day. His counterpart, Kerry Collins, had similar #'s, but was handcuffed by his coach who played too conservative.
