Chiefs trip up Pack

Coach Georges Bseraini knew he was in trouble when the computer selected Doug Pederson to start for the Packers in this game. Things only got worse after Pederson went three and out and the punt was returned by Dante Hall for 82 yards and a 7-0 KC lead. The Packer coach could be seen on the sidelines muttering Game over, with 59:01 left on the clock, staring daggers at the SATAN that required a Pederson start.

The game wasnt over, though, at least not by Pederson's standards The lifetime back uo actually put on a Brett Favre like performance going 19-38 for 215 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. It wasn't enough though as Trent Green threw for 222 yards in 32 tries and 21 completions and although he was intercepted twice, KC was able to overcome that and the 6-2 Packer edge in penalties as Dante Hall torched the Packers with 3 punt returns for 146 yards, 3 kick off returns for 81 yards and 3 catches for 23 yards.

After the Hall touchdown, the Packers came back and got a Ryan Longwell field goal. In the second quarter Green found Eddie Kinnison for a 16 yard td reception. Pederson found William Henderson for 11 yards to make the score 14-10.

In the third quarter Green found James Dunn for a one yard td catch but Pederson answered with a 20 yard toss to Ahman Green. That would be the last Packer score however as Longwell missed the extra point. Morten Anderson hit a fourth quarter field goal and then Priest Holmes went over from the one to finish off a six minute 4th quarter drive. Final Chiefs 31 Packers 16
